Spotlight on Full Ownership Specialist Barry Myatt

This week we are featuring Barry Myatt who is the Full Ownership Specialist at Garza Blanca Real Estate. Born in Boston, MA, Myatt and his family moved to Puerto Rico when he was a child where he lived up until 1974 with a few years spent living in California as well. After finishing high school, Myatt studied art, advertising, cartooning, sculpture and art history at the renowned New York School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, New York. Xpu-ha

Xpu-Há is an area located about 95 km south of Cancún, just south of Puerto Aventuras.   There are a few hotels, cabins, restaurants, and dive shops off the main highway heading towards the beach. It’s a good area to visit if you want to get out of the city and head down the coast to somewhere more remote, and relaxing, with plenty of adventures to check out. At the north end of Xpu-Ha there are several cenotes where you can go swimming and snorkeling, including Cenote Cristalino, Cenote Eden, Jardin del Eden Cenote, Cenote Ponderosa, Cenote Azul, Cenote Abierto, Paraiso Tucan, and Kantun Chi eco-park.   To get to Xpu-Ha beach, you’ll need to exit Highway 307 onto a short dirt road that will take you down to the beach. You can walk down the dirt road or drive your car down to the parking lot. It’s a small parking lot, so get there early or plan to walk down. Cabo Pulmo

Cabo Pulmo is tiny, remote village about 60 miles northeast of Cabo San Lucas, with a population of about 100 full time residents. It was once a fishing village but in 1995, the waters offshore from Cabo Pulmo were designated a National Marine Park by the Mexican government. The Cabo Pulmo Marine Reserve is one of the healthiest marine areas in the world, attracting snorkelers, scuba divers, scientists and conservationists from around the world. It is a great place to visit, and highly recommended if you are into snorkeling or diving. To get to Cabo Pulmo, north and east on highway 1 for about 2 hours. You will find yourself in a remote area, surrounded by undeveloped desert and a stunning mountain range.   Cabo Pulmo National Marine Park stretches five miles from the northernmost tip, Pulmo Point to the southernmost tip, Los Frailes, with the village of Cabo Pulmo in between.   There isn’t much in the village except beaches, scuba divers and a few local businesses, but that’s what makes the village itself …

Adventure to Playa del Toro

If you are looking for adventure and exploration outside of the tourist areas around Puerto Vallarta, a day trip north could be just what you need! This adventure is not for the faint of heart, rather it is an idea for those who want to push outside of their comfort zone to see some truly beautiful scenery and experience real local life in coastal Mexico. Playa Del Toro is a tiny, hidden beach in the municipality of Compostela in the state of Nayarit, about two hours north of Garza Blanca.
