Puerto Vallarta Golf: One More Reason to Love Pacific Mexico

Club Caribe golf lovers have most probably already enjoyed the incredible golfing options in Cancun, especially Playa Mujeres Golf Course just five minutes from Villa del Palmar Cancun where you can enjoy discounts. However, you might not know that your membership can lead you to the wonders of golf in yet another of Mexico’s most beautiful destinations: Puerto Vallarta.

Amongst the most beloved cities in Mexico, Puerto Vallarta stands out for various reasons. Its friendly atmosphere, quaint Mexican style and sweeping vistas of lush mountain and sea landscapes create the perfect setting for an amazing getaway. While there is no shortage of reasons to be completely enamored by the city, the recent rise of world class golf courses in the area has given visitors, and Club Caribe Members, one more reason to love Puerto Vallarta.

As a Club Caribe member, you have the option of using your Club Points to stay in Villa Del Palmar’s sister resorts located in Puerto Vallarta. Both Hotel Mousai and Garza Blanca Preserve Resort & Spa, offer members stunning accommodations and access to some of the most highly rated golf courses in the nation. Visitors to the area have a variety of challenging courses to choose from, including something for players of every level and skill set.

One of the most sought-after in the area is Vista Vallarta, a two course complex that gained popularity in 2002 after it hosted the PGA World Cup Tournament. Golfers from around the world flock to the course fulfilling the dream of teeing off on a green once played by the pros.  Vista Vallarta’s two courses, one designed by Jack Nicklaus and the other by Tom Weiskopf, provide challenging 18 hole courses with varying elevations, assorted bunkers and views so incredible you might forget you are playing a round.

Owned by the same company is Marina Golf, which provides an 18 hole, par 72 tropical style course closer to downtown Puerto Vallarta. Designed by Joe Finger, Marina Golf is marked by lush vegetation, scenic views of Banderas Bay and natural lagoons that add a unique twist to an already challenging game. You can also take advantage of the selection of gourmet restaurants in the marina following your game.

Heading further north, there are two more courses that spark interest among avid golfers, El Tigre and Flamingos Golf, just north of Nuevo Vallarta.  As the first course to be built in the area, Flamingos offers visitors 6,853 yards of narrow fairways, gently sloping terrain and a challenging set of water hazards and bunkers that can test the skills of even the most veteran players.

When golfing in Puerto Vallarta, one can expect world class facilities, awe-inspiring vistas and courses so invigorating that even the pros have come for their chance at glory. Take advantage of your club points and preferred points to book your stay at Hotel Mousai and Garza Blanca this summer so that you can tee off with the best golfers around the world.
