Father’s Day at Villa Del Palmar

What could be better than celebrating Father’s Day with your family in paradise! Here are some ideas about things to do in Cancun for Father’s Day.

Breakfast in Bed

It is somewhat traditional for the spouse or children to cook breakfast for Dad on Father’s day at home, sometimes even bringing him breakfast in bed. Well, when you are staying at a luxury resort, it’s easy to duplicate this time honored tradition without even lifting a finger! Room service is one of the best things about staying in a resort hotel. Just call down to room service and ask them to bring Dad’s favorite breakfast meal to the room. Enjoy a nice breakfast as a family together in your room, and don’t even worry about doing the dishes!

Hit the Beach

For a relaxing day in the sand and sun, simply head down to Villa del Palmar’s beach, order a cocktail, and chill. Our beach waiters will bring you food and drinks all day long so you can continue pampering Dad until he’s all pampered out.

Be Adventurous

If Dad is the adventurous type, why not try out some water sports such as jet ski, flyboard, parasailing, paddleboarding, or kayaking. The concierge at Villa del Palmar can help you book any adventure sport you are interested in.

Fancy Dinner

Another Father’s Day tradition is taking Dad out for a nice dinner. If Dad is a steak and potatoes kind of guy, La Casona STK is the perfect place to spend the evening. Harmoniously blending the concept of bistro dining and classic steakhouse, this restaurant enjoys a relaxed atmosphere that exudes a warm and contemporary feel throughout with its rich chocolate-brown walls and cowhide accents, providing the setting for a sophisticated and elegant dining affair. The steaks are excellent; La Casona STK features a range of gourmet meats including Japanese cuts, as well as aged and matured meat dishes. Complement the meal with a glass of one of our award winning wines.

If Dad is more of the Asian fusion type, take him to Hiroshi for a contemporary sushi experience that celebrates the artistry of Japanese and East Asian cuisine. Much more than simply an excellent Japanese sushi bar, Hiroshi’s extensive menu takes you on a culinary journey. The restaurant sets itself apart from the rest; its secret resting in the impeccable attention to detail and quality by Hiroshi’s expert team. Hiroshi offers sashimi, sushi, soups, tempura, yakitori, lobster, shrimp, chicken, steak and vegetables, all prepared with the utmost delicacy and originality.

A Night Out

Does Dad love music? If so, why not take him downtown for a show? There are numerous bars, clubs and theaters in downtown Cancun where he can see live music and singers from any genre from Mexican, to rock and roll, to blues and jazz, and island music from the Caribbean. The party continues all night long at the electronic music dance clubs, if he’s into that. It’s easy to take a taxi to and from downtown, so Dad can enjoy a few adult beverages and still get home safely.
