As some Club Caribe members may have noticed on their last visit to Villa del Palmar Cancun, La Casona now bows to the talents of the resort’s favorite Mexican Chef, Jose Alfredo Bazán Bello, affectionately known as Bazán, who successfully headed the kitchen at Zamá. As a result, there will be some delicious changes to La Casona´s menu to look out for as well as a move towards an even more elegant and sophisticated atmosphere.
More Fine Cuts
One of Bazán’s influences over the menu at La Casona is the proposed inclusion of more fine cuts, such as Angus steaks, with emphasis on including some Angus dishes that are covered by all inclusive meal plans. These additions will complement the existing fine selection of premium cuts and alternative dishes that have continued to delight Club Caribe members at La Casona.
Even More Sophisticated and Elegant
In response to the addition of the fabulous new buffet restaurant, Caprichos, which provides a more casual family oriented atmosphere, La Casona is soon to implement an adult-only policy, which will admit guests over 16 years old for a refined dining ambience.

Don’t forget to ask our sommelier, Fabien Ravier, for advice about wine pairings for your meal at La Casona, selecting from an excellent wine cellar that boasts over 177 labels from more than 9 countries, including fine Mexican wine. Likewise, ask about the collection of different types of water to combine the perfect water with your wine and meal.
