- Soft Opening on December 15th
Garza Blanca Resort & Spa in Cancun celebrated its soft opening on December 15th, 2020. This is the Garza Blanca brand´s third property, which is expected to follow the tremendous success of Garza Blanca in Puerto Vallarta and Los Cabos. Resident Manager, Otto Pareto, said, ¨We are excited that our brand-new resort will add to the luxury resort offerings in Cancun and future guests have a lot to look forward to. ¨
The first two phases of Garza Blanca Cancun are complete and feature 162 suites ranging from the Junior Suite all the way up to the Four Bedroom Penthouse Loft. Each suite is exquisitely designed and has a contemporary vibe with elegant details and furnishings throughout. The next two phases are due to be complete in October 2021.
Upon completion, the resort will offer a total of 452 luxury suites, a luxury spa, state-of-the-art gym, kids club, five swimming pools including an adults only pool, a Gourmet Food Hall with 5 different types of cuisine, 4 signature restaurants including Blanca Blue, Hiroshi, Bocados STK, and the Rooftop, plus a banquet hall for weddings and events.
The new team of talent at Garza Blanca Cancun prepared for the soft opening by gathering together at dawn on December 5th to clean the beach in front of the resort. The cleaning was carried out in a meticulous and loving way with a feeling of pride for being part of the team at this spectacular new resort.
Reaffirming our sense of responsibility for the natural environment, taking care of the flora and fauna, and seeking the absolute quality of cleanliness of the beautiful beach that you will have the pleasure of enjoying, it is our promise to keep any space where we have the honor to receive you in immaculate condition. The culminating activity was all the staff from the different divisions of the resort gathered together to make the word Gracias, or thank you, in human formation, addressed to all those who have made our opening possible.

- Meet Leonardo Flores, the F&B Manager

They use the freshest ingredients and innovative techniques to create exciting flavors. Leonardo Flores has been hired as our F&B Manager to guide our talented chef patrons and to ensure the continuous improvement of the level of quality and taste of our sensational cuisine.
Leonardo was born and raised in Mexico, but his passion for hospitality led him to work and study in several countries around the world including Switzerland, Australia, USA, and Dubai before deciding to come back to his roots. He takes with him increased knowledge after having been exposed to different cultures and experiences, something that he believes is crucial in this evolving and fast changing industry.
With F&B experience that ranges from clubs to fine dining, he is used to detail-oriented service. He has managed big social events of 800 or more people, where operational planning is crucial.
He is looking forward to this new opportunity where his goal is to keep improving the standards of our already high-level of cuisine and to transform every meal into an unforgettable dining experience.
Hotel Mousai II
Construction of Second Tower Update
We are pleased to share with members that the development and construction of Hotel Mousai´s second tower is well underway and is scheduled to open in October 2021. The additional tower sits adjacent to the existing Hotel Mousai tower in Puerto Vallarta and will double our inventory adding an additional 72 Rooms and 4 Penthouses.
Each suite features vibrant colors, modern haute designs and high-end luxury each with a private terrace, Jacuzzi and hammock. The privileged Penthouse Suites crown the 16 levels of the tower and measure 1,076 square feet. They boast an exclusive living room and bar area, a sizeable master bathroom with steam shower, and an expansive private terrace.
The second tower will also feature a stylish lobby bar, Rooftop infinity pool, gym, connecting bridge to Hotel Mousai, and two new restaurant concepts.
The new tower addition presents an Italian restaurant situated on the ground floor serving delicious pastas and pizzas prepared in a fabulous show-kitchen and DAO, a Chinese Restaurant, which is Tafer´s newest culinary concept. DAO will be the centerpiece of the Mousai complex.

One more year has come to an end! A year that will be marked in the history of our lives and future generations, a year in which life decided to put a hard test on us and that brought with it hard times, but also brought with it a reassessment in many aspects, and many changed their habits. They began to exercise, to connect more with friends and family, workers began to value their jobs more, and their companies that did not give up and vice versa.
I am proud to share that thanks to the work and dedication of our entire team and the unconditional support of our President Fernando González and Vice President Roger Schaaf, as well as the entire management team, the hotel is operating normally under an environment of optimal safety and hygiene, that allows our members and guests to enjoy a pleasant stay.
As you all know, during the closure or temporary reduction of operations, we took on the task of putting our hotel in the best possible shape, but not only that, we also made investments that are worth mentioning.
We invested 35,000 dollars in a small inflatable Wibit brand Aqua Park, which is already installed and our guests are enjoying at this time. This new addition is focused on serving children and teenagers for whom the kids club is not that appealing, and who have been looking for an activity like this.
We have replaced 50% of our umbrellas, with a new brand and quality, and as we know the effort it took to be moving the umbrellas to have more personal space or to find shade. We also bought a new granite base with wheels, which makes moving the umbrella no longer a nuisance that disturbs your tranquility in those well-deserved hours of relaxation.
I share that this year, once again we were recognized by AAA with our recognition of 4 diamonds and in the same way on the Tripadvisor page with the recognition of the Traveler’s Choice award that places us in the top 10% of all of hospitality business listings on Tripadvisor.
Now that I have shared a part of what happened in 2020, I would like us to visualize together the beginning of another year that will undoubtedly be a successful year. I invite you to continue to provide us with your valuable comments, as your feedback is vitally important for our continued growth and success.
I am very proud of the team I have, and very honored to be the leader of this hotel, where the affection of each and every one of us who work here to enjoy it together is reflected.
