Leticia Herrera – Your Heart of House Manager

Meet Leticia Herrera, your HOH manager who has a special role at Villa del Palmar Cancun making sure that the heart of your home away from home pulses with warm and inspiring experiences each time your arrive. At 29 years old, born and raised in Cancun, Leticia has a lot to share with members, enjoying every moment of life both personally and professionally.

 

Can you explain what the Heart of the House department does?

The Heart of the House department is dedicated to quality control in all aspects of the resort, from the experiences encountered directly by our members and guests as well as behind the scenes. This involves anything from hygiene to aesthetic details to the quality of service.

 

Tell us a little about your professional background

I am lucky to have discovered my passion early on in life, which is the service industry, and was able to study what I love: a degree in gastronomy. Since then, I have worked in a variety of positions within the hospitality industry both in operational and administrative positions, all of which have focused on quality. I continue to learn new things every day, improving my technical skills and learning new procedures, all of which help me towards my goals of being able to contribute innovatively to the service industry.

How does it feel to be our HOH at Villa del Palmar Cancun?

Firstly, the very name of my position makes me proud. HOH means the “Heart of the House” and it is an honor to be in charge of this department. It is a great responsibility since it serves both our guests as well as our internal clients (our personnel) who are the primary force behind ensuring that we provide extraordinary services and experiences for our members and guests. It is very rewarding: every achievement, every happy member, every situation I am involved in brings me great satisfaction. Being part of creating memories is what motivates me most.

 

How do you turn ordinary experiences into extraordinary ones?

Definitely our main goal is to create extraordinary experiences for our members and guests. My team aims to achieve this, firstly with their positive attitude. We have great synergy, doing what we do with love and quality, hoping that we can transmit this commitment to all our members and guests. This can be seen in all the details, whether it be in our restaurants, during an activity, in our suites and so on. We aim to take care of the details, anticipating our visitors’ needs.

 

 

What inspired you to come to work at Villa del Palmar Cancun?

The moment I stepped foot inside the hotel, it made a great impact on me and I simply wanted to be part of it. What inspires me most about being part of this team is having the opportunity to grow professionally as well as personally. It is like belonging to a family. My work is like my second home, I love it!

How do you spend your free time?

Rest! I enjoy the simply things in life, arriving home with my family so that I can face the next week with renewed energy and drive. I like to go to the cinema, have dinner with friends, go to the beach and enjoy this paradise that I call home.
